Between Kings & Queens



African Cinema at its finest
Long gone are the days when African films were rated inferior both on technical and artistic levels. Here is a film that sets new standards in both measures. The story by it self is very captivating, with superb acting and quality directing. I truly enjoyed the believable characters struggling to find their ways in this dramatic struggle on the streets of America.

The film has a very rich texture due to the amazing lighting setups evident in every shot. Sound quality is of the best standard. This has always been an area of weakness in African films. Not Between Kings and Queens. Amazing soundtrack. Most hear to believe!

Unlike the melodramatic trends in typical African films, BKQ operates on a realistic level that is prevalent in American films. I cried and laughed with the characters. I identified with the plights. I was routing for the Prince all day way. That is the mark of a good film, it captures you and forces you to suspend reality. Between Kings and...
